I love to have fun, be my quirky self, and of course, I love to laugh! That’s why people who are full of personality and share my same interests book me as their photographer! The two photos from a recent family session above totally explain it all!
I photographed Frank with his girl, Valerie, not too long ago and had the pleasure to meet his entire family for a sweet session this summer! It was an incredible feat to photograph 15 people, but even better, I though it was so great to have a short family reunion through a photo shoot at the park. Frank has such a loving family and I’m so glad I had the chance to meet them all! Especially the little ones! :)
Wait no longer! Narlin + Nathan are SO IN LOVE and I have pictures to prove it! :)
Narlin is an aspiring teacher and Nathan is an awesome musician. They’re both quirky, fun, silly, and all tons of amazing! The both of them wanted to photograph their engagement session in Austin and made a day trip there just for the occasion. Seriously! My clients are great! Thanks to you two for being so willing to be different and be yourselves. It totally made this engagement session one of the best!
You know that couples are perfect for one another if the guy can make his girl laugh like this:
This past month in Houston has been a very wet and wild one, with pouring rains from the tropical storm and the HOT, HOT, HOT sun. Nothing escapes the rainy season and hot temperatures of a Texas summer! But all is well because I can still take in the short and blessed amount of daylight to shoot my photo sessions. And for that, I am very thankful. Yes, even if it means I have to plow through the high waters and get bitten by 219847023987 mosquitoes around town!
I have lots of posting to the blog to do in the next few weeks. Here’s a favorite from Narlin + Nathan’s engagement session in Austin:
I first met Taylor in high school when I drove him and some of our mutual friends home after school. We spent many fun times together, and even more so when we all headed to college. Taylor would make frequent visits to Austin to hang out with me and explore the city’s good eats! As the years went by, I noticed that Taylor began making more and more trips to Houston instead of Austin. As it turned out, he was very interested in a girl named Jennie and after getting to know her better at our photo session, I could see exactly why!
Taylor and Jennie are super adorable together. They’re silly, quirky, and fun to photograph! :)
When my friend, Kelly, from Eventology Weddings tweeted about Wish Upon a Wedding, my heart couldn’t stop racing. Wish Upon a Wedding is an non-profit organization that provides weddings to those people with life-threatening illnesses. The idea of sharing many tender moments at a wedding for someone who may not be around for long certainly hit home for me. I was reminded of friends and family, young and old, that I met through my life who were faced with the challenges of sickness and disease. Immediately, I tweeted her back and wanted to jump on board.
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure to work with Houston’s finest vendors at Wish Upon a Wedding’s Houston Chapter Launch Party. I am happy to be a sponsor of such an extraordinary and novel program that grants wishes to those who in need.
Wish Upon a Wedding is starting new chapters all across America. If there isn’t one in your area, please consider planting a chapter. Also, if you’d like to give and sponsor the organization, you can do so by becoming part of the Wish Granting Team.

I helped photograph sponsors at the photo booth. Here’s one with Sharon, from Sharon Nicole Photography + Me!
