Hello all! I will be out of the office from 12/28 thru 12/31. Feel free to email me, but note that I will not respond to them until after 12/31.  I will be spending the week in Columbus, TX. Have a great new year!

Meanwhile, I have a few sweet photos to share! This past weekend, my relatives and I took a short road trip to Port Aransas, TX to look at the endangered whooping cranes. We woke up at 5 am that morning to capture the sunrise at the beach. The view was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. I took a TON of photos this weekend and can’t wait to make a post soon with these amazing shots!

Merry Christmas to all! Hope the season is bright and happy for everyone.  :D

So I am proud to say that I have completed my first sewing project!  This is a cute card holder that’s very easy to make.  Enjoy!

Every time I enter a craft store, I get inspired to start a project.  I made the mistake of walking into Michael’s the other day and while I was supposed to be searching for only one item, I left the store with 9 more purchase than anticipated.

While browsing for hours, I found a cute book with fun little things to create.  The artist is Aranzi Aronzo and you can read about his book here.

Of course, I couldn’t resist the cuteness of the characters and desire to experiment with sewing!  I had cooped up all the excitement only to discover later that I needed a needle with a larger eye.

But it’s all good.  My first pattern cut went well. I was very eager to begin and impatiently trimmed the felt too fast, which resulted in a few messes edges.  My mistakes are all cleaned up now.  Feast your eyes on my first stitches, folks!  Hopefully I can pick up the right needle soon!
