I get this a lot: You’re a wedding photographer. Do you ever think about what you want your wedding to look like? And who’s going to be your photographer?!

WHY YES! OF COURSE I THINK ABOUT IT! I’m a girl, so I dream. :)

I have a bunch of photographers that I love and follow daily. They inspire me, teach me, and train me to be a better photographer… which leads me to this awesome question.

Q: Do you have any photographer role models?

A: Yes. And their names are… well, there are A BUNCH of them, so I will pick a few to mention.

Jasmine Star. By reading her blog, I find that she’s an incredible person and photographer. I love her posts, personality, and photos. Although I’ve never met her face-to-face, I’m so encouraged by her will to glorify God with her amazing talent in photography.  And I think the best part is how she’s so comfortable with being herself at her shoots and in writing her blog posts! Now that’s just BOLD!

Jose Villa. Okay, seriously. His wedding portfolio is so dreamy. Every shot is so buttery, smooth, and the craziest thing is… they’re all shot in film! Way to be super artistic and timeless! I really like his unique style and creative eye. Each image is nothing short of perfection and beauty. It’s so inspiring and makes me want to strive for great quality. BIG SIGH.

The Pioneer Woman. I feel like this woman and I have so much in common. We appreciate photography + food + decor. No, it’s not quite like the Julia and Julia kind of admiration. I just love perusing through her posts! Readers, you’ve got to try making some of these recipes. I drool every time I look through her blog. The images are crisp and… oh gosh, TASTY! I have to hold myself back from eating the computer screen. And I must say, I’m sorta jealous of her HUGE following. A second after her post is up, there are like 100 comments! Where does that magic come from?! I’m not a comment whore, but getting them on my blog and photos does make me happy.
